Our Mission

Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Deaf-Blind Citizens of Wisconsin are empowered to meet their full potential through increased independence, productivity, and integration into society.

WAD was founded in 1876 and is still a viable organization of, by and for the deaf and hard of hearing community of Wisconsin. The organization was founded by and is run by deaf and hard of hearing individuals that currently reside in Wisconsin. WAD is in existence to serve as an advocate and resource for the deaf and hard of hearing community in Wisconsin.
